Regan Callahan Is Braintek's Fourth Claude Certified Developer
Congratulations to Regan Callahan, who passed Anthropic’s Claude Certified Developer, Foundations exam yesterday. Regan’s certification was issued on October 13, 2026, one week after Holly Leopold and Mike Regan earned theirs. With our founder certified back in August, Braintek now has four Claude Certified Developers on staff.
Four in a little over two months was not a coincidence. It is what happens when a team uses AI every day and decides that knowing it well is part of the job.
What did Regan earn?
Regan earned Anthropic’s official credential for people who build with Claude. The Foundations exam is proctored and written by Anthropic, the company that makes Claude. It tests whether someone can design prompts that hold up, connect AI to real business systems, ground answers in a company’s own data, measure accuracy before trusting the output, and keep an AI system inside the limits a business sets.

Like every Claude certification, it is valid for one year. Anthropic requires people to earn it again as the technology moves, so a credential always reflects current knowledge instead of last year’s.
Why does Braintek keep certifying more people?
Because AI work gets better when more than one person truly understands it. A certified builder can be checked by a certified reviewer. A project does not stall when one person is out. And the questions clients ask about AI get answered by whoever they already work with, not routed to one specialist.
That spread matters for an IT company in particular. AI now touches the same systems we manage for clients across Houston and Dallas Fort Worth: email, files, tickets, accounts, and security policies. The people who understand those systems should also understand the AI that is starting to act on them. Regan putting in the study time on top of a full workload is exactly the kind of initiative that makes that possible.
What does a Claude certification mean for a business owner?
It means you can verify the claim. Almost every IT provider now says it does AI. Ask to see who on the team has been tested by the company that builds the technology, and look for a public link like the one above.
Then ask what they have actually put into production. A certification shows someone knows how the pieces work. Systems that run every day show they can make good decisions with that knowledge. We will keep going. The certified group will move up Anthropic’s track as new levels are released. We treat these credentials the way we treat our Microsoft and security certifications, as something the team keeps current year after year.
