Turn On MFA: The Simplest Way to Protect Your Microsoft 365
Here’s one of the simplest and most powerful ways to protect your company: turn on Multi-Factor Authentication for Microsoft 365.
Here’s why it matters. Most cyberattacks start with a stolen or guessed password. Employees reuse passwords, attackers send convincing phishing emails, and before you know it, someone is inside your email, files, or entire network. Multi-Factor Authentication — MFA — stops that. Even if someone gets your password, they still need a second approval from your phone or authenticator app. That one extra step blocks the vast majority of unauthorized access attempts.
Setting it up is easy
- Log into your Microsoft 365 admin portal.
- Go to Active Users → Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Turn it on for your team and walk them through choosing their preferred method — text message, authenticator app, or passkeys.
It takes just a few minutes, and the protection is tremendous.
