Turn On MFA: The Simplest Way to Protect Your Microsoft 365

Here’s one of the simplest and most powerful ways to protect your company: turn on Multi-Factor Authentication for Microsoft 365.

Here’s why it matters. Most cyberattacks start with a stolen or guessed password. Employees reuse passwords, attackers send convincing phishing emails, and before you know it, someone is inside your email, files, or entire network. Multi-Factor Authentication — MFA — stops that. Even if someone gets your password, they still need a second approval from your phone or authenticator app. That one extra step blocks the vast majority of unauthorized access attempts.

Setting it up is easy

  1. Log into your Microsoft 365 admin portal.
  2. Go to Active Users → Multi-Factor Authentication.
  3. Turn it on for your team and walk them through choosing their preferred method — text message, authenticator app, or passkeys.

It takes just a few minutes, and the protection is tremendous.
