How do I start a PowerPoint slide show from the keyboard?

Press F5 to start from the first slide, or Shift + F5 to start from the slide you're currently on. Press Esc to end the show.

How do I black out the screen during a presentation?

Press B to black out the screen (or W for white). Press the same key again to bring your slide back — handy when you want all eyes on you, not the screen.
